Exam period

I always find something more interesting to do when I have to study. For example - this week I'd really like to read this book from Fukuyama, although I have to read tons of other interesting literature for exams (my Moleskine planner is quite busy in the next few weeks - not that it hasn't been for the past few months...). But since it's obligatory, it's harder for me to focus myself on it - I bet that if it wasn't my study literature, I'd want to read it in an instant! And vice versa - if Fukuyama was my study literature, I'd probably want to read something else. The curse of obligatory literature I guess. Does this happen to anyone else?!

By the way, thank you for the great response on the "Summer is..." post! Expect an update on that soon - with photos and some of your thoughts!

  2. Ugh, I know exactly what you mean about things being harder to do when they're obligatory! I wish it ended when school ends, but alas! It's a never-ending struggle for me too! I absolutely love how you've styled this shot :)

  7. Does this happen to [me]?

    Hells to the YEAH!

There's nothing quite so painful as obligatory literature for uni/school. Ack! And you're probably right, if the books we have on our "Want to Read" list were the ones we had to do for our studies, they probably wouldn't be as appealing, heh heh.

  11. ha I totally know what you mean. When i was having to make a garment in class that was sized for a model, I really didn't want to do it. I always had things that I wanted to do for myself to wear but couldn't get to them with all the time I spent on school stuff.

  19. I love your blog!! I’m bookmarking it :)

I do feel that way about books - I have been rereading all classics that we were obligated to read in highschool, because it’s such a different experience.
