Souvenirs from the walk

Here's the thing. I am very fond of nature and I try to have as much of its elements in my home as possible. It is therefore only natural that almost everytime I go for a walk, I bring something home.

On Christmas day we went for a loooooong walk. The path lead us through this magnificent forest, full of tall pine trees. I had to take home a few branches, to remind me of that special place. And the window shelf was the perfect place to marvel at them.

Since I'm reading Thoreau's Walden at the moment, it seems only appropriate to share this quote with you:

“Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influence of the earth.” Henry David Thoreau, Walden

  3. :) I should try that more often. I do bring flowers or branches of tree, leaves etc. during summer, but haven't brought a single thing from the woods this winter!

I hope you had the most wonderful Christmas.

:) Lep vikend!
